Biography:
Born in Brussels in 1933. In 1956, Pierre Collignon invented the 'chemogram', which combines the physical properties of paint (varnish, wax, oil) with the chemistry of photography without using a camera. In 1965, Cordier was appointed lecturer at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in Brussels. In 2007, a retrospective of his work under the title «Cinquante ans du Chimigramme» (50 Years of the Chemogram) was held at the Photography Museum in Charleroi.
