Yves Zurstrassen

Belgian artist born in Brusesls in 1956. He began painting when he was 18 and devoted himself to it completely. He created works in an abstract expressionist style, initially with nuances of colour in tones of black and white. From the 1990s, vibrant colours began appearing in his work, exploding onto the canvas in a liberating gesture. His work then became increasingly constructed.
