Biography:

Born in Antwerp, where he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His work was initially characterized by abstraction with vibrant colours, which later became increasingly sombre. He then created monochromes, before developing a passion for torsion. Walter Leblanc was part of the kinetic and optical art movement, based on optical illusions and the incapacity of the eye to mingle together two elements at the same time.
