Urbain Herregodts

Belgian painter, sculptor, draughtsman and graphic designer, born in Edegem. He trained as a printer and was self-taught in the fine arts. He won the « Jeune Peinture Belge » Prize in 1971. The surrealist writers and painters greatly influenced his lyrical abstract work. He was part of the "Phases" group in 1966 and worked with the poetry revue « Edda ».
