Jo Delahaut

Belgian artist born in Vottem. Trained at the Liège Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, Jo Delahaut also held a doctorate in History of Art. In 1946, he became part of the « Jeune Peinture Belge » movement and then became a member of the « Art Abstrait » group. He co-authored the « Manifeste spatialiste ». He was the first fervent Belgian representative and defender of geometric abstraction.
