Emile Giolli

Born in Paris of an Italian family, Gilioli learned to do ironwork at a young age and studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs prior to passing his entry exam to the Beaux-Arts de Paris. There he met many artists. He gained international fame after the war. His works pertain to the lyrical abstraction movement. He also produced gouaches and watercolours.
